Why We Offer a Discount for Crypto & e-Transfer

You may notice that paying with Crypto USDC or Interac e-Transfer is slightly cheaper than paying by card. Here is why, plainly.

Card networks and processors charge fees on every card transaction. Crypto and e-Transfer cost us almost nothing to receive. Rather than build those card fees into every price, we keep our listed price as the crypto/e-Transfer price and pass the savings on to customers who use fee-free methods.

Card payments include a small surcharge to cover the processing cost, which is shown clearly at checkout. Crypto and e-Transfer buyers simply pay the listed price — no surcharge.

It is the same idea as a cash discount at a local shop. We think being transparent about it is better than hiding fees in the sticker price.
